Where else are you surfing?
I am not sure if a post like this is allowed, but (if so) can others post what forums they visit that are similar to this one. I hit one or two others, but would love to open my horizons.
So moderators, if this is allowed, can we start posting some links or names? |
Re: Where else are you surfing?
It is easier to get forgivness than it is to get permission.
And I'm obviously not a moderator. |

Re: Where else are you surfing?
I surf a 9'6" triple stringer, usually near my house, but if there is a south swell I drive up to Back Door Nunnery.

Re: Where else are you surfing?
OK, OK... some explanation...
There is some property owned by an order of nuns. We (locals) call it "The Nunnery". It has a jetty that sticks way out and if the swell is from the south it breaks left but there is a piling that sticks out and you almost hit it on certain days so it can be pretty dangerous. In Hawaii there is a dangerous left break at Pipeline that is called "Back Door Pipe" so we call this break, "Back Door Nunnery". It is real, but pretty damn funny too. |
Re: Where else are you surfing?
Today I surfed in the Atlantic Ocean with my 7' 3" Superfish, and enjoyed some nice rides on chest-high waves.

I'm starting to get pretty sick of the cold at this point. Can't really seem to last more than 2 hrs. per session before the numbness starts to set in. The water temps should start inching upwards soon, and I can't wait for the day when my winter wetsuit can be retired for the season. Arggh! |
